That’s why, when we proposed Aspen, Colorado, to a Silicon Valley client for their rising superstars, a few eyebrows initially went up. But any lingering skepticism melted away the moment their charter touched down at the charming Aspen/Pitkin County Airport.
Arrival Day: Immersion Begins
There was no time to waste. After an effortless check-in at the iconic Hotel Jerome—an Auberge property and Aspen landmark since 1889—the group refueled on much-needed coffee and pastries in the hotel’s welcoming lobby.
Reenergized, they set off for a relaxed stroll through the charming downtown Aspen. Tree-lined streets, boutique shops, local galleries, and crisp fall colors created the perfect first impression. Lunch at Wild Fig delivered Mediterranean warmth and flavor, and afterward, guests enjoyed either a gentle nature walk along the Riverside Path or some downtime at the hotel pool and hot tub.
As the sun dipped behind the mountains, the group gathered for a private welcome reception in the hotel lounge. Dinner followed at Element 47—Aspen’s premier destination to wine, dine, and unwind—setting a sophisticated tone for the days ahead.
Day 2: Peaks, Trails, and Pure Colorado
The second day was dedicated to Aspen’s unforgettable wilderness. After an early start and a restful night, the group headed to the legendary Maroon Bells—among the most photographed peaks in North America, especially in autumn. A scenic drive, moderate hike, and photo stops around the glistening lake allowed everyone to take in the shimmering golden aspens up close.
A casual lunch on the go fueled the next adventure: a gondola ride up Aspen Mountain for panoramic views of the valley dressed in fall foliage. From there, a drive along Castle Creek Road showcased even more breathtaking vistas. After a full day immersed in nature, guests returned to Aspen for relaxation followed by an elegant dinner.
Day 3: Art, History, and Unscripted Exploration
The final full day began with a cultural dive into the Aspen Art Museum, followed by a visit to the serene North Star Nature Preserve. Later, the group traveled to Ashcroft, a beautifully preserved ghost town that offered a glimpse into Colorado’s mining past.
The afternoon was intentionally left unscheduled, allowing guests to choose from a curated list of personalized experiences—spa time, shopping, outdoor activities, or simply wandering Aspen at their own pace.
For the farewell evening, dinner at PARC Aspen delivered a standout culinary experience, capped off with final cocktails back at the hotel bar. With an early morning departure ahead, the group wrapped up the evening full of memories and mountain magic.
